Nightlife in Berlin
If you're looking for somewhere to eat in Berlin then you won't be stuck for choice. If fine dining is your thing then the minimalist molecular-style dishes are available at Glass. Inside its apartment- building exterior is a high-end swanky restaurant. For those who prefer things to be a bit more understated you can eat at Das Lokal, a real cult spot with its routes firmly planted in pop culture. The cheap and cheerful certainly has a presence too. If you want to see a Berlin take-away pizza to remember, then try Masaniello, which also has well-dressed seating, due to popular demand.
Berlin has a notoriously good nightlife, and as soon as 17:00 strikes you will notice the city dwellers begin firing up for the evening. If you're looking for somewhere to go out drinking then Still Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg are both great examples of the Berlin city life. No matter the night of the week, Berlin will be alive well into the evening. Even Sunday sees a popular techno music night at the Berghain and Panorama bar. Set inside a mansion is the highly recommended Chalet, a spot where you will be able to go dancing to mainstream but trendy tracks all night long.
Culture in Berlin
There's no shortage of cultured activity to get up to inside Berlin, regardless of nationality. If the theatre is where you get your kicks then the English Theatre Berlin has regular exhibitions designed to bring artists and audiences into conversation, so topics can be a little heated.
The Reichstag, which now houses the Federal Government, has a glass dome at its top where you can get a great view of the city from above. You don't need to climb too high to enjoy the sights of Berlin. A simple walk around the city will show you places like the Berlin Television Tower, whose iconic 60s design has it standing out from the crowd and adds to the great Berlin skyline nicely. Berlin Cathedral isn't far away and is a bit more of a typical tourist destination. The large religious building is hugely popular, and sits close by to plenty of bars and cafés.
Berlin is great fun at all times of day, with no shortage of activities and the kind of evening entertainment that has people coming from all over Europe for a taste. Book a flight to Berlin with lastminute.com and you won't be disappointed.

4* hotel. Really nice. Located near a U barn station which takes you through Berlin centre and beyond. Some nice restaurants and cafes nearby. Breakfast at the hotel is around €18 if you book on the day so may be better with booking in advance or going to local cafes. Hotel and room was very clean. The bathroom downstairs stank though, luckily only had to go there the once (on our way home). Staff were friendly. You would have to go and get everything from reception rather than them coming up to your room but that is expected as it’s 4* no 5.
