Who wrote Stickman?

Stick Man was written by Julia Donaldson, with music and lyrics by Benji Bower. It is directed by Sally Cookson. The Stick Man cast features Mark Kane as Stick Man, Claire Dargo as his Lady Love, and Gordon Cooper as additional characters. The original book has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and has also been adapted into a short animated film featuring the voices of Martin Freeman, Jennifer Saunders and Rob Brydon. Julia’s other works include prizewinning bestsellers The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom.

Where is Stick Man playing?

Stick Man in London is playing at Leicester Square Theatre. The building was previously a popular music venue in the 1960s under the name Cavern in the Town, regularly hosting beat music group The Small Faces, and was renamed Notre Dame Hall in the 1970s and presented The Rolling Stones and The Who. Leicester Square Theatre was reopened by Lesley Ackland and Martin Witts in August 2008. The venue soon established itself as one of London’s foremost comedy venues, hosting talent such as Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre, Richard Herring, Micky Flanagan, Frankie Boyle, Sandra Bernhard, Bridget Christie, Jo Brand, Russell Howard and annual seasons with Stewart Lee. Leicester Square Theatre has established a long standing relationship with Scamp Theatre Company who produce shows for children such as Stick Man the show and their summer productions of Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales and The Scarecrows’ Wedding.
