Everyone needs a good weekend away with their mates once in a while. While hen weekends can have a somewhat unwarranted raucous reputation, the majority are just a welcome get together. It's all about eating too much, drinking too much, reminiscing with old school or university friends, celebrating a special birthday or just getting away from the husband, kids, dog, ex-partner, colleagues (delete as appropriate) with like-minded friends. Brighton continues to be one of the most popular destinations for hen weekends in the UK. But where to stay?

If you don't want to pay the entry, the party often spills out onto the beach, and you can pick up some drinks and have a dance without even having to go inside.
When it comes to hotels in Barcelona, we've picked a selection that should suit any all-girl group. Either way the city has a fantastic transport system, with an underground tube and bus network, and taxis are not over the top expensive either, meaning you can be flexible about your location.

You can't really go wrong with a Hilton, and this four star hotel has really nice updated rooms to relax in. You'll probably want to catch a few rays while you are there, so it's a good job there are beds by the pool area (see above).
