Topped out in 1998 and officially opened in 1999, Kuala Lumpur's 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers together form the one of the world's tallest buildings - standing a resplendent 1483 feet (452 metres) high. American architect Cesar Pelli created this beautiful building with obvious Islamic influence, including curved and pointed bays to create a scalloped facade emulating temple towers. Designated a Marine Park in 1977, Sabah's Turtle Islands Park is a paradise based on three islands - Selingan, Gulisan and Bakkungan Kechil - north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea.
