Cruise the Patagonian Fjords

Description

Venue: Puerto Montt    When: Daily

Take the scenic route between Puerto Montt and Puerto Natales on a spectacular cruise through the Patagonian fjords. On this four-day journey (in either direction) you encounter penguins, icebergs and volcanoes in one of South America's most beautiful regions.

Chilean Patagonia is a sparsely-populated area of incredible natural beauty. One of the best ways to see it is on a cruise. The trip begins in Puerto Montt and cruises through the fjords and canals, making the journey a tranquil one, save for the ominously-named Golfo de Penas (Gulf of Sorrow) in the middle of the trip.

From here, the terrain becomes an uninhabited wonderland of icebergs, shimmering lakes and dense native forests. Finishing in Puerto Natales, you can visit the World Biosphere reserve of Torres del Paine National Park or head even further south to Tierra del Fuego and the Antarctic territories.

Boats leave from Puerto Montt for Puerto Natales on Mondays and in the opposite direction on Fridays. For full details of the schedule, prices and accommodation, please visit the Navimag website.
