Description
Venue: Mercado Municipal When: Daily; not Sun
The Mercado Municipal, with its ten-metre high roof, is São Paulo's main market. The building was opened in 1933 and is notable for its impressive architecture, particularily its enormous stained glass windows. It offers an extensive array of food and is one of the few places where out-of-season fruit is available. Although it is open most of the day, it is best to visit in the morning to catch all the action and atmosphere.
