The airport is located just north of the M8 motorway at junction 28.
Short-stay, long-stay and business parking are all available, operated by NCP (tel: (0)870 606 7050; website: www.ncp.co.uk). The short-stay car parks are all within walking distance of the terminals, and there are regular transfer coaches to the terminal from the long-stay car park. Long-stay parking with discounts can be pre-booked through BAA Advance (tel: (0)870 000 1000) or online via the airport’s website.
Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National have desks next to Domestic Arrivals .
Rail: The Gilmour Street railway station in Paisley is 3km (2 miles) from the airport and is only a few minutes away by taxi or local bus. Trains run to Glasgow Central rail station. Transfers to either Queen Street station or Buchanan bus station are available on bus no.398. Bus: Bus no.905 runs to central Glasgow, stopping at Glasgow Central station, Queen Street station and Buchanan bus station. Buses are also available to other destinations. The airport information desk is on the first floor, next to the Domestic Arrivals/Departures area. There are computer information kiosks on the ground floor and a Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Tourist Board (tel: (0)141 848 4400 or 4758) in International Arrivals, providing tourist and accommodation information.
Money and communications: The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs, a post office and telephones equipped with fax and e-mail facilities. Eating and drinking: Restaurants, cafés and bars are concentrated on the first floor. Shopping: Shopping includes duty-free. For more information, contact the Shopping Information Line (tel: (0)870 000 1000). Luggage: The left-luggage facility (tel: (0)141 848 4938) is open daily 24 hours. A lost property service (tel: (0)141 848 4740) is also available. Uniformed members of staff are on hand to assist with baggage. Other facilities: These include a pharmacy, baby care facilities and children’s play areas.
A business workstation with telephone, fax and Internet facilities is available on the first floor concourse. The Glasgow Airport Business Centre (tel: (0)141 847 5450) offers meeting rooms, conference and training facilities, an IT suite and full secretarial support. There is a Servisair Executive Lounge, with credit-card operated telephones and fax facilities. Conference facilities for up to 35 delegates are available at the Travel Inn (tel: (0)141 842 1563).
Facilities include wheelchair-accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating, as well as induction loops, a TDD telephone and a Minicom information line (tel: (0)141 848 4848). Passengers should advise their airline in advance of any special needs. Disabled parking spaces are available. Passengers requiring assistance from the car park to the terminals should arrange this in advance by contacting Passenger Assistance Limited (tel: (0)141 848 4938). The airport is a two-hour drive from Orlando, one and a half hours from Miami and 45 minutes from Fort Lauderdale. It is situated next to I-95 (there are plans to link the airport directly to I-95) and is accessible from anywhere in Palm Beach County. From the south on I-95, exit at Southern Boulevard (exit 50) and turn left (west) then turn right (north) on Australian Avenue and follow the signs to the airport entrance on the left. From the north on I-95, exit at Belvedere Road (exit 51); drive west on Belvedere Road to Australian Avenue and turn left, proceeding to the airport entrance on the right.
There are four parking options: a premium car park located outside the baggage reclaim area, a short-term car park (terminal levels 4-7), long-term surface and garage parking, and a Park & Ride remote car park connected to baggage check-in by a shuttle service. There is a new waiting car park, located off Florida Mango and Belvedere roads; this car park is designed for people picking up passengers at the airport and is free of charge. Cars must be attended at all times.
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National are all represented, with desks in the Arrivals area (level 1).
Automated transportation reservation centres, providing direct telephone lines to transportation companies, are located in the centre of the baggage reclaim area on level 1. Rail: TriRail provides transportation between West Palm Beach and Miami, with stops on route (website: www.tri-rail.com); TriRail feeder bus services can be found outside level 1 of the terminal. Road: Taxi: Taxis are available from the transportation desks at each end of the terminal building on level 1. Limousine: Limousines are also available from the transportation desks at each end of the terminal building on level 1. Palm Beach Transportation operates sedans (tel: 561 684 9900). Bus: PalmTran, Palm Beach County’s public bus transport, offers regular services throughout Palm Beach County; the stop is located on the kerb of level 1 and route maps can be found inside the terminal also on level 1 (tel: 561 841 4200).
Travelers Aid is located in the centre of the baggage reclaim area on level 1 and there is also a Traveler Service Center on level 2 offering a range of travel-related services. Airport ambassadors are available throughout the terminal to assist travellers and are easily spotted for their teal jackets. Palm Beach County Visitor Information Centre (tel: 561 233 1020) can also provide advice and information.

Eating and drinking: Restaurants, bars and snack bars are situated on level 2. A deli is situated on concourse A; there is a fast-food outlet, ice-cream and chocolate shop, a snack bar and coffee shop on concourse B; a grill and bar and coffee shop are situated on concourse C. Shopping: Shops are also situated on level 2 and include gift shops, newsagents, a toy store and a PGA golf shop. There is a newsagent, gift shop and book store on concourse B and a newsagent/gift shop on concourse C. Luggage: The baggage claim is located on level 1. Trolleys are available for hire in the baggage claim area and a Skycap porter service is also available. Other facilities: A shoeshine and travel insurance facilities are available in the Traveler Service Center.
Conference rooms and full business facilities, including telephones, fax and data ports, can be arranged through the Traveler Services Centre on level 2. The US Airways Presidents Club and Delta Crown Room airline club lounges are situated on level 2. The nearby hotels can also provide business and conference facilities. The Holiday Inn Airport Hotel & Conference Centre (tel: 561 659 3880) has business facilities including photocopying, Internet, fax and PC services; there are seven meeting rooms, accommodating up to 200 delegates and audiovisual equipment for hire. The Hilton Palm Beach Airport (tel: 561 684 9400) has a business centre, as well as audiovisual equipment hire, fax, modem, photocopy and notary services.
Airlines can provide disabled passengers with wheelchairs; passengers should request this service in advance. TDD telephones are available at the airport on level 3 (east) and level 1 (west). Disabled travellers requiring further information at the airport should use the white courtesy telephones located throughout the terminal and parking garages; these telephones connect the caller to the airport communications centre, where a paging service within the terminal building is available. Ground transportation for disabled travellers is available (tel: 561 930 8747) and should be arranged well in advance.
The Hilton Palm Beach Airport (tel: 561 684 9400), Crowne Plaza West Palm Beach (tel: 561 689 6400) and Holiday Inn Airport Hotel & Conference Centre (tel: 561 659 3880) are all located very close to the airport. Automated hotel reservation centres, providing direct telephone lines to local hotels and motels, are located in the centre of the baggage reclaim area on level 1; TDD telephones are available. Shuttles are provided by many local hotels.
