Opened in October 2003, the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall is the new home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world.
Thanks to bequests from the Disney family and other sponsors, the city boasts an internationally recognised architectural landmark. From the stainless steel curves of its striking exterior to the state-of-the-art acoustics of the hardwood-panelled main auditorium, the 3.6-acre complex embodies the unique energy and creative spirit of the city of Los Angeles and its orchestra.
The venue hosts classical, jazz and world music performances and other one-off shows.
