A free shuttle bus service runs between Terminals A and C and all car parks.

Driving Directions

From San Francisco, take I-80 west until it becomes US-101 south; turn right at the CA-87/Guadalupe Parkway exit, then right again onto Airport Parkway. From Santa Cruz, start on CA-17 north, which becomes I-880 north, take the US-101 north exit towards San Francisco, merge onto US-101 north, take the Brokaw Road exit on the right towards First Street, and turn left onto Brokaw Road, which becomes Airport Parkway.

Car Parking

Short-term parking is available at Terminal A and immediately opposite Terminal C. There is one long-term car park on the west side of the airport. Free courtesy shuttles making a continuous loop of the two terminals pick up passengers in various well marked areas throughout the long-term car park. Off-airport long-term parking is available from a number of companies.

Car Hire

Companies located at the airport are Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty. The car hire centre is located north of Terminal A along Airport Boulevard; shuttle buses transport passengers to/from the terminals.

Public Transport

Rail: The VTA Airport Flyer runs a continuous loop between the airport and Santa Clara Caltrain station and the San José Metro/Airport LRT station. There are excellent light rail and metro train routes to destinations across the Bay area. Road: Taxi: Yellow and United taxi cabs and a variety of limousine services are readily available at the airport; limousines must be arranged in advance; the airport’s website has a comprehensive list of companies serving the airport. Bus: Scheduled bus services include buses to Santa Clara County provided by Valley Transportation Authority, and to Santa Cruz and Monterey. Shuttles and charter buses are available for all areas.

Information desks are located in Terminals A and C Arrivals. Courtesy telephones for assistance are situated throughout the terminals.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs, bureau de change, postal facilities and Internet stations are all available. Eating and drinking: There are various cafés, bars, fast-food outlets, snack bars and restaurants in both terminals. Shopping: Shops include gift shops, newsagents and duty-free. Luggage: A lost property office is situated on the second floor of Terminal C. Other facilities: These include baby-change facilities, DVD players and DVDs available for hire, AED units (defibrillators) and a children’s entertainment area.

Conference and Business Facilities

Wireless Internet access is provided by Wayport (website: www.wayport.net) and is available throughout the airport. Data ports are available in Terminal C at the expedia.com café. The DoubleTree Hotel (tel: 408 453 4000) has conference facilities, including five ballrooms and 12 meeting rooms, accommodating up to 1,200 delegates, audiovisual equipment hire and a business centre. The hotel also offers mobile phone hire, computer workstations, fax, photocopying, printing, Internet, postal services and videoconferencing.

Disabled Facilities

Facilities for disabled travellers include lifts, disabled toilets and TDD telephones. Wheelchairs assistance can be provided by Skycaps; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Disabled parking is available in all airport car parks.
