Ideally located on the beachfront, the Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa is just 90 minutes from Dubai International Airport. It is a place for rest, relaxation and watersports, including scuba diving and snorkelling. Nightlife is low key so it really is a place to re-charge your batteries.

Accommodation description

The Colonial resort style comprises of 250 rooms and suites, and is set in la prime beachfront location amidst beautifully landscaped gardens. The hotel is nestled between the Hajar Mountains and the Indian Ocean with lush tropical landscape, surrounded by desert, sea and natural beauty. There is little around the hotels and bars and restaurants are within the hotel complex.

The hotel is low rise and is fairly disabled friendly - rooms can be located close to the main building upon request. However, rooms are not fully equipped for people in wheelchairs and it is much easier if one has an able-bodied helper.

• The Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa will present a new world of dining experience. Guests on half board will dine in the hotel’s main buffet restaurant Mozaique, for breakfast and dinner. The hotel also offers a choice of a la carte restaurant and bars (payable locally):

• Climate: Fujairah enjoys a year round desert climate – warmer during the day and cooler at night

• Tipping: This is a way of life throughout the Middle East
• Passports: Full 10 year UK passport required with minimum 6 months validity.
• Visas: Not currently required for UK passport holders stays less than 30 days. British Subject passport holders must have a visa prior to entering the UAE.
• Passport holders other than the full UK passports, should contact the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates on: 020 7581 1281 for requirements; this is your responsibility.
• Fujairah: One of the newest of the Emirate states, served by the beautiful waters of the Indian Ocean. Ideal beach holiday location
• Points of interest: Fujairah Fort built in 1670 AD., Fujairah Museum, Friday Market for local crafts, pottery, gifts and more. Khor Fakkan’s Souk for traditional clothes, spices and more.
• We recommend that you do not drink the tap water, but do drink a minimum of 3 litres of bottled water per day in order to avoid dehydration and sunstroke.
• You should exercise common sense and use plenty of sun creams for protection from the sunshine.
• Cold beer and hot sunshine are not a good combination
• Pools are not attended by lifeguards. Swimming is at your own risk.
• You should exercise caution not to touch any of the coral when swimming, snorkelling or diving in the sea. Coral is alive and will die when touched by humans. It is also very fragile and sharp, and can cut skin easily.

• The following extra charges will apply when booked by credit card: Visa/MasterCard - 2%, Amex - 3%. There is no charge for debit card payments. Visa Electron, Solo and Diners Club cards are NOT accepted.
• For any bookings made within 14 days of departure, there will be an additional charge of £17 per person levied by the tour operator, Peltours, which will be added on after you have booked by the tour operator and may not show on your confirmation.

  Health requirements and travelling abroad

  You must have comprehensive travel insurance when travelling abroad and this must cover you for scuba diving where appropriate. The tour operator, Peltours, may decline your booking if you do not have, or do not intend to have, travel insurance. The name of your insurance company will be required.

  Note: Please note that September is the month of Ramadan. Whilst this is a fascinating time to travel, some facilities and services may be limited and alcohol may be limited.

  Important diving holiday information

What this means is that the contract for the fulfilment of the diving package is between you and the operator and additional terms and conditions may apply. Please make sure that you have read these terms and conditions before completing your transaction with us. We shall have no contractual liability to you in respect of a diving experience fulfilled by the operator, unless we have been negligent.
