Oman has only recently opened its doors to tourism revealing an ancient way of life that has been unchanged for centuries. Our Oman program is designed for travellers to discover this fascinating and diverse country, under the friendly and safe guidance of local leaders.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
  You will be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Muscat.
  
  
• Day 2: Half-day city tour of Muscat
  After breakfast, we start the full day city tour. Highlights of the tour are a visit to the Grand Mosque, Natural History Museum, visit to Al Alam Palace, 16th century built Mirani and Jalali (Photo Stop), and the traditional Muttrah Souq.
  Overnight in Muscat.
  
  
• Day 3: Muscat - Barka - Rustaq - Nakhl - Muscat
  Proceed for your full day trip to Barka, Rustaq & Nakhl with visits to date plantations, Rustaq and al Hazm forts, souqs, hot water springs and more. Return to Muscat in the evening where you will spend the night.
  
  
• Day 4: Muscat to Sur
  After breakfast you depart for Sur through the coastal route with sightseeing en route. Highlights will be the Bimah Sinkhole, Finns beach and the coastal town of Sur. After a visit to the Dhow building yard you will check into your hotel. Overnight in Sur at the Sur Plaza Hotel or similar.
  
  
• Day 5: Sur - Wahiba Sands - Nizwa
  Embark on a full day tour to Wadi Bani Khalid –an Oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains and then to Wahiba – the great Arabian Desert with sight seeing en route. Visit to a Bedouin house, camel ride & Sand Dune Drive while at Wahiba and later proceed to Nizwa- the cultural capital of Oman. On arrival check into hotel for overnight stay at the Falaj Daris Hotel or similar.
  
  
• Day 6: Nizwa - Muscat
  Full day tour of Nizwa. Visit the famous round tower fort, one of the best architecture in Oman; Nizwa souq, where Arabian potteries, silver and gold wares are sold. Then to Al Hamra. Visit of falaj system and old houses dating back 400 years. Al Hoota cave, one of the largest natural caves in Oman. Bahla – the mystical town once famous for black magic but now known for its Arabian potteries. Visit to one of the factories to see the traditional style of pottery making. Then to Jabrin fort, a 17th century fort with magnificent architecture. The plasterwork, wooden carvings and painted ceiling make this castle amazingly different. Evening return back to Muscat. Overnight in Muscat.
  
  
• Day 7: depart Muscat
  Assistance and transfer to the airport for connecting flight for onward destination.
