Location: Dahab, Egypt
Just north of Sharm El Sheikh, this little Bedouin oasis can be found in the midst of the spectacular Sinai Mountains, the desert and the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea. The Sinai peninsula is steeped in history. This was the biblical wilderness crossed by the Israelites and it was on the summit of Mount Sinai that Moses received the Ten Commandments. Today you can climb the mountain on a day trip, leaving very early to catch the spectacular sunrise, and visit the working St Catherines Monastery (said to be built on the site of the Burning Bush) at the peaks foot.

Accommodation description
The simple white cubes and domes of the hotel contrast dramatically with the azure sea and sky, against a backdrop of the rugged Sinai Mountains. Landscaped gardens and shallow saltwater lakes form oases of green and blue leading down to a sandy beach and sheltered lagoon. Here, steady breezes create ideal conditions for keen wind surfers and freestyle fanatics alike, with other activities such as water skiing and kayaking also available.
