Take a journey of discovery and visit some of Egypt’s finest ancient monuments along the banks of the Nile, including those at Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan and the Valley of the Queens at Luxor.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Monday - Fly direct from London Gatwick or Manchester to Luxor. Transfer by coach and embark.

• Day 2: Tuesday - In the morning, visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Afternoon at leisure. Optional Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple.

• Day 3: Wednesday - Morning visits to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens and Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank. Optional visit to Queen Hatshepsut's Temple. In the afternoon, sail for Edfu.

• Day 4: Thursday - At Edfu, visit the Temple of Horus, sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple. Sail to Aswan.

• Day 5: Friday - In the morning, visit the High Dam and Philae Temple. Afternoon at leisure. Optional Botanical Garden and Mango Island excursion, and Sound and Light show at Philae Temple.

• Day 6: Saturday - Morning at leisure or take the optional road or air excursion to Abu Simbel. Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile before sailing to Esna.

• Day 7: Sunday – In the morning, sail to Luxor with afternoon at leisure. Or take one of the two optional excursions to Cairo (full day) or Dendera (half day) which depart early morning from Esna and return to Luxor.

• Day 8: Monday – Morning at leisure. Early morning optional hot air Balloon flight. Transfer to airport for your flight to Gatwick or Manchester.

Accommodation

M.S. Fleurette - 7 nights - Full board

Built in 1989, and more recently refurbished, the M.S. Fleurette carries a maximum of just 93 passengers in air-conditioned comfort. From the moment you enter at reception you will be assured a warm welcome and friendly smile from all staff on board. Facilities include a restaurant offering excellent views of the scenery as you pass by, two small gift shops, a large lounge with a bar and a laundry service. There is also a doctor available 24 hours a day. For your peace of mind, make sure you ask reception for a safety deposit box, which is available free of charge.

Enjoy a cooling dip in the swimming pool and relax with a refreshing drink at the pool bar. Choose from a wide selection of items at the hot and cold buffet, whilst lunch and dinner are either buffet or waiter service. Enjoy a cabin service where you can purchase drinks of your choice between 0900 and 2300 hours. Evening entertainment includes occasional dancing and theme nights complete with belly-dancers.

  Please note: British passport holders require a visa to visit Egypt. A Single Entry Tourist visa is required. It is valid for six months from the date of issue. The cost is £15 (approximately US$ 26) per visa and can be obtained from the Egyptian Consulate in London prior to departure or on arrival at Luxor airport.
