What you said
If you want a quiet, friendly hotel, just off Princes Street but still able to walk there in a minute, then this is the place to stay. The Bistro "Early Bird" (eat between 6-7.30pm),is a must as a gourmet 3 course meal is available at just £12.50!

The description of the hotel was a bit exaggerated as far as decor is concerned. The lounge was positively dingy. Bed made but no fresh linen. Breakfast good, but not the 'special' dinner menu - 2 items for £10 (approx)- really poor! Receptionists not overly welcoming but reasonably helpful. Situation good. Having said all that would return because of course reasonably priced. Prefer not to publish.
