The hotel has retained its tranquil setting and ambience in the suburbs of Edinburgh. Retaining its original character, the hotel provides a relaxing atmosphere with open fires and friendly staff.

*Please note: As of the 1st December 2007, development of residential accommodation will start in the rear car park and gardens, which are no longer controlled by the hotel. The building works might operate between 7am and 4pm Mon-Friday and will run for the remaining 12 months the hotel is in operation, until the hotel ceases trading in January 2009. The hotel bedrooms to the rear of the hotel will have obstructed views & the private gardens to the rear of the hotel will no longer be able to be used by hotel guests. This will also affect parking at the hotel, so car parking will be limited to the front car park only.

• Directions: From the Forth Road Bridge and the North: At the Barnton junction on the A90, turn right on to the A902, following signs for the airport. Travel over one roundabout to the traffic lights; turn left to join the A8 and head toward the city centre. After 1 mile, follow directions as below **. **At the Drumbrae roundabout, travel straight over. After 1½ miles you will pass Edinburgh Zoo on your left. Continue a further ½ mile down the hill to traffic lights at a junction. Turn left in to Ellersly road, the hotel is around the corner on the left. As of the 1st December 2007, development of residential accommodation will start in the rear car park and gardens, which are no longer controlled by the hotel. The owners & main contractor have notified us that building works might operate between 7am and 4pm Mon-Friday and will run for the next 12 months the hotel. The hotel bedrooms to the rear of the hotel will have obstructed views and car parking will be limited to the front car park only which has limited spaces. On street free car parking is available.
