• Sixty Below: Retaining the original 19th Century cooking range and cosy window seats strewn with cushions, Sixty Below is a charming cross between a country cottage and a French bistro. During the day the restaurant is bright and comfortable with a family friendly feel. The mood changes during the evening with the blinds closed and soft lighting, becoming a more intimate space. Intriguingly at odds with the quaint feel of the place, the menu provides a choice of dishes sourced from all over the world, such as Duck Breast Marinated in Chinese Five Spice or the Fillet of Sea Bass in Cajun Spices. Additionally the range of starters and extensive wine list for relaxed evening dining in true European style. Fitting in with the country cottage charm, the menu features traditional local dishes such as Grilled Pork Steak on Black Pudding Mash. Rich in quirky features, there is also a huge fish tank embedded in the wall; an opportune conversation filler during awkward first dates or just for keeping the kids occupied.
