What you said
After my recent run of bad luck with places to stay (mates floor on a lilo with no bedding, hostel in Bristol with cows in field behind and too hot!) I was really hopeful that my luck would have turned a corner and I am pleased to say it did...and then some!. The hotel location is slap bang in the middle of Sheffield where the ugly town hall used to be (nicknamed in my student days as the egg-box building)with the truly gorgeous winter gardens and water features surrounding it. I was very happy on arrival to see the hotel was just as good inside. Our room was huge with an enormous bed and fantastic bathroom. The shower was so big I could actually bend over in it....to shave my legs!As for the rest of the hotel, my gym bag never got unpacked as we took advantage of the restaurant and champagne bar the night before! Beware of the strangely, scantly clad ladies roaming about though - I think they get a lot of hen parties here - not that we were disburbed by any - but they did give us something to talk about!Would I go back - definitely!

The hotel was in a superb central location and had excellent facilities. Sadly the staff were overworked and under-trained and so let down the whole experience.

Brand new, beautifully furnished rooms. Excellent bar and lounge area, very airy and light. Super staff. Perfectly sittuated for town centre shops, bars and restaurants. All in all Top Notch!

The swimming pool had a chemical leak when we got there but the hotel staff were very accomodating to ensure our relaxing weekend wasnt ruined.
