our room was lovely and in a lovely building, ubfortunately located at the back of the building with views of all the deliveries, the noise of the kitchen extactor fan below ( disturbed sleep) also noisy when barrels were changed. we wondered if we were allocated this room as we had paid less?!

A well presented, well located and excellent hotel for a base in and around the Shrewsbury area - and only 45mins from Chester too. You will need your own transport though.

Good standards throughout. However, one of the attractions was the included spa facilities, so it was disapponting to find that these had just been repaired and were not back up to temperature when we were there.

Lastminute booking was easy and true to it's word. The hotel wasn't very clean there was hair in our bed, glasses were dirty, but dinner and breakfast were top class!!

The hotel was magnificent and the ideal place to hold our evening gathering after the wedding. Vikki Weaver the events co ordinator was a star as were all the staff there. Should be a 5* hotel!
