What you said

On arrival at the hotel, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom was very comfortable even though it was not one of the refurbished rooms. Maid service was very good. The restaurant offered a a carvery style menu which was also very good and value for money. You could choose to have 2 or 3 courses or just the mains! The buffet breakfast was excellent as whatever time you chose to have it, it was always hot and freshly prepared. Overall, the hotel made our visit very enjoyable and we would stay again as the location was ideal, very close to the main centre of shops, bars and restaurants.

Britannia hotels have a bad rep, but this was great. Very friendly and helpful staff, great choice at breakfast, good quality in-room toiletries, spacious room. Room decor quite dated - refurb required.
