The Eadweard Muybridge gallery describes the life and work of the internationally renowned pioneer photographer who was born, and died, in Kingston. He donated a vast collection of photographs, documents and equipment to the museum. Muybridge conducted radical experiments in the photography of movement, paving the way for moving images and the movies.

The Museum also explores Kingston's ancient history and has a fine collection of Martinware pottery which is often on display.
