What you said
I was placed in a very tatty and shabby room at first. It was very small and poorly decorated and looked after. I chose this hotel partly because it advertised wifi internet access, but I couldnt access the internet when I tried to. I was informed by the receptionist that some of the rooms did not receive wifi, and when pressed she told me that not many actually did. I asked to be moved to a room with access and to their credit they allowed me to move immediately (although I received no help in doing so). And my new room was bigger and better decorated and cleaner. So I did end up with a reasonably good room but I had to fight for it! I wouldn't use this hotel again.

The Kings hotel was right on the seafront with the pier in sight. The no-smoking until after 5 bar was relaxing with jazz playing in the background. The room was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. the staff were very helpful and the superb location meant we were a 'pebble's' throw from the main attractions with all the bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance.

got to the hotel at 3-30 pm (sheet said check in at 3 pm) had to wait till 4-30 for the room to be ready. Room was very small and plain, not like photos. 2nd day we went out, came back at four, room had not been serviced again.
