The Spread Eagle Hotel dates back to 1430AD, with its 15th century lounge, warmed by huge fire places and individually designed bedrooms furnished with fine antiques. The hotel combines rustic charm with excellent spa and leisure facilities. Situated in the historic town of Midhurst, convenient for both countryside and coast. Standard rooms may be located in our Market House situated directly across the road from the main hotel, these rooms have walk-in showers but not a bath tub.

Children are welcome and they may share their parent's superior or deluxe room at a supplementary charge of £30 per child (£10 per infant) per night inclusive of full English breakfast and VAT. Children/infants cannot be accommodated in Standard double rooms. All other meals will be charged as taken and if required Children's High Tea from 6:00pm will be provided. Cots and High chairs are available on request for smaller children and there is a 'baby listening' facility available via our telephone system. Alternatively, a baby-sitter may be arranged for you, for which sufficient prior notice is required. The Aquila Health Club & Spa is open from 7:00am until 9:00pm Monday to Friday and from 8:00am until 8:00pm at weekends. Family Hours are between 10:30am and 12:30pm & 3:00pm and 5:00pm daily. Children are not permitted to use the Hot Tub, Jacuzzi, Steam room and Sauna. In line with current legislation the hotel is now totally non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on the Terrace and in the Jacobean Garden.

• Directions: From NORTH: Approach Midhurst on the A286 from Haslemere and Milford (off A3) come to a mini-roundabout, turn right up High Street crossing through two sets of pedestrian traffic lights, after the second set take the next turning left, which is Knock Hundred Row you will find the Spread Eagle is on the right hand side after about 400 yards. From SOUTH: Approach Midhurst on the A286 from chichester via Singleton/Cocking. As you come into the town approaches, on a bend, you will see a brown tourist sign for the Spread Eagle Hotel to the right. Take this sign and approach the hotel passing South Pond on your left. The hotel is above this on the left hand side. From WEST: Approach Midhurst on the A272 from Petersfield/Winchester. You come to a mini-roundabout in the town, go straight across at this point into West Street. Follow this street right to the end, ignoring the fact that you are passing the hotel on the right. Turn right at the junction (One way system) and then indicate right almost immediately the hotel entrance is at the end of the brick wall/hedge. From EAST: Approach Midhurst on the A272 from Petworth/Billingshurst. You come to a mini-roundabout, go straight across over the Mill Race bridge and carry on up the High Street. Go through the two sets of pedestrian traffic lights and take the next turning left. Follow this road through the old market place and the Spread Eagle is on the right hand side after about 400 yards.
