Highlights of the tour include:
Hyde Park - originally purchased by King Henry VIII, this former private hunting ground and safe-haven for thieves is now one of the most famous parks in the world.
Buckingham Palace - the home to the Royal Family for 170 years. This 661 room palace remained the dwelling of the monarchy throughout the Second World War (being hit seven times by German air strikes).
Trafalgar Square - whose statue stands at the centre of Trafalgar Square? The answer is Lord Nelson, who lost his life at the Battle of Trafalgar, defeating a combined Spanish and French force. Today the square is home to events, ceremonies, festivals, and much more.
Big Ben - keeping debatably accurate time, the Clock Tower and Big Ben (the more than 13-ton bell), overlook Westminster Bridge. The hourly chimes can be heard 4.5 miles away.
Parliament - home to the House of Lords and the House of Commons, the decisions made here, at one point, directly affected 1/4 of the world’s inhabitants.
