Very impressive lobby area, did not have breakfast ro dinner which I regret. Rooms a bit small, checkin good but a bit pushy ot upgrade room, overall lovely hotel in great location.

Really nice modern clean hotel. However we arrived at 6.30 pm and our room wasn't available. When we did get our room we were allocated a twin room, rather than the double we'd booked. Very large hotel but very stylishly renovated.

My room fronted the corner of Oxford St/Park Lane. NO double glazing, so the noise all night was terrible, police and ambulance sirens regulalarly as well as the normal traffic noises. THe quality of the room furnishings, however was excellent, with a 42" plasma TV, which was just as well as I couldnt sleep for the noise!!!

Good location,very comptempary and clean spacious rooms but the hotel staff were noisey in the corridors on the morning and knocked the door several times to see if this was empty for cleaning at approx 08.15am.Apart from that i would recommend this stay!!!!!!

The Cumberland Hotel is in a great location, modern decor and ultra cool atmosphere. However, the receptionists let the side down as they were obstinate, non-chalant and not helpful. We arrived at 3:30 to check in and only 2 of the 5 rooms for our party were 'ready' and we were offered no alternative until 7:30. So, we all piled into the two availbale rooms until then. This created confusion, upset our plans and was not acceptable.

Modern stylish hotel. Excellent location. Only downside was due to the large number of rooms, the queue for check in was 20 yards long and took 30 minutes. Also the number of guests meant rarely were there seats aavailable in the bar or reception areas.

There are tales of the 'airport lounge' experience when walking into the hotel. Disregard this if you enjoy fresh, avant garde styling, great London location and prompt service.

I think that breakfast should have been included in the price. Apart from that i had a fantastic stay there, and would definitely recommend it to anyone else thinking of visiting London.

Hotel is in a great location and therefore offers fairly good value for money. Not necessarily somewhere you would want to spend lots of time in though, felt a bit too much like a cross between MFI/Ikea for our liking - spartan furnishings and bizarre low light levels were not to our liking. Foreign staff on reception were sometimes difficult to understand and failed to (for example) get a newspaper delivered to our room in the morning.

This hotel is fantastically placed - almost on top of Marble Arch tube, and has great views of the Park and the Arch itself.This is a proper 'chic boutique' style hotel and the entrance lobby has a real 'WOW' factor that is bound to impress. The room and ensuite were stylish and luxurious that made our stay a wonderful experience.We will be definitely going back to stay - once our new baby arrives!!!

On arrival we were told our room would not be ready for at least another 2 hours as it hadn't been cleaned and we were not offered any chance of refreshment or compensation - a take it or leave it attitude seems to be the norm. We walked into the restaurant and were completely ignored!! Apart from somewhere to lay your head it is a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming hotel - I would not recommend it to anyone!
