New Adventures’ magical production of Edward Scissorhands has carved a place in the hearts of thousands across the world - after sell out performances in Asia, America, Australia and Europe, it now returns to Sadler’s Wells to delight the whole family.

Based on the classic Tim Burton film, and featuring the beautiful and unforgettable music by Danny Elfman and Terry Davies, this touching and witty gothic fairytale tells the story of a boy created by a lonely inventor who dies leaving him alone and unfinished. Left with only scissors for hands, Edward struggles to find his place in a strange new suburban world where the well-meaning community struggle to see past his strange appearance to the innocence and gentleness within.

After global success with his inspired interpretations of The Car Man, Nutcracker!, Highland Fling, and the multi award-winning Swan Lake and Play Without Words, Matthew Bourne has also enjoyed unprecedented success with his work in the hit musicals, Mary Poppins and Oliver!

Performance times

• Tuesday to Sunday evenings at 19.30, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 14.30
  Extra matinee performance on December 18 at 14.30

Ticket price

• Top price seat - £50 (plus £4 booking fee)
• Second price seat - £40 (plus £3.20 booking fee)

Seat numbers

• At present, we are unable to tell you your seat numbers when booking tickets. However, seats are allocated by the theatre as soon as you book your tickets and will be the best available at the time of booking. All seats in a booking will, of course, be together in the theatre, but in the very unlikely event of this not being possible we will call you and give you the option of cancelling your booking
