East London Activities

Hokaben is a new music festival in the heart of London's east end at the 93ft East venue, Brick Lane. The idea is to have a festival in our capital city bringing together the weirdest, heaviest, craziest and most awesome underground bands on the planet under one roof with not a foppish indie band or yawnsome postrock band in sight. It's all happening over the weekend of November 7 to 9 - so make sure you put that in your diaries.

The venue itself has four main areas - the main live room, a smaller live room, a more intimate bar and a large courtyard with benches for the smokers. It's also smack-bang in Shoreditch so you have all the other restaurants and bars around there if you need a quiet pint and a break from the music.

Line-up includes:

Friday November 7 - Don Caballero, Fucked Up, Part Chimp, ZZZ, Trencher, Mugstar, Apatt, Chops, Company Fuck Karaoke plus more to be added.

Saturday November 8 - Acid Mothers Temple, Kid606, Flower Corsano Duo, Shitmat & Dj Scotch Egg, Todd, Ramesses, Aufgehoben, Neptune, Team Brick, Vialka, Stearica, Birds Of Delay, Dethscalator, Hey Colossus, Zun Zun Egui plus Illegal Seagull Curating The Small Bar which will include: Scorpio Scorpio, Dagger Brothers, Thud and lots more.

Sunday November 9 - Sun Ra's Arkestra, Gravenhurst, Lords, I'm Being Good, Boduf Songs, Arabrot, Katie Stelmanis, Invasion, Sj Esau, Il Goblini, Bromancer, Defibrillators and Bugbrand Build An Oscillator Workshop.

Ticket prices & availability

• General admission standing weekend ticket - £60 (plus £3.75 booking fee)
• General admission day ticket (Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday) - £23.50 (plus £1.75 booking fee)

Ticket delivery

• No tickets will be posted out - your tickets will be available for you to collect from the venue box office on the night of the performance

• You should take your lastminute.com email booking confirmation, together with credit card against which the booking was made, & ID, to the box office, where it will be exchanged for your tickets
