The magical world of Bestival will be returning to Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight over the weekend of September 11, 12 and 13, 2009.

Bestival is an award winning 3 day boutique music festival set at Robin Hill - a beautiful leafy country park (a veritable Garden of Eden!) near Downend and Newport in the heart of the Isle of Wight.

Ticket delivery

  • Your tickets will be sent to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery
    Please bear in mind that these tickets need to be signed for when leaving a delivery address
    There is a fee of £4.95 to cover the cost of Royal Mail Special Delivery. This will appear as a transaction fee while booking. This is to ensure that your tickets reach you, as they cannot be replaced if lost

    For security reasons your tickets will not be sent out until closer to the date of event

    If you have not received your tickets five days before the event date or need to amend your delivery details, please visit us at frequently asked questions

    Any tickets purchased from a non-UK address will automatically be marked to collect at the box office on the night of event. If you have made your booking less than five days before the event, your tickets will be available for collection on the night of event at the box office unless you are informed otherwise. You will need to bring the confirmation email and the credit card that the tickets were purchased with

Event information

  • Campsite opens at 10.00 on Friday September 11 and closes at 12.00 on Monday September 14

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Please note: One ticket holder parent or guardian can only accompany up to four people under the age of 18
    Please ensure you have read this information thoroughly and that you buy the correct tickets or you may be refused entry to the festival
  • Terms & conditions
    • Right of admission reserved (R.O.A.R.)
    • Bestival is for nice people and is about having a good time. Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be ejected without refund
    • No admission without this ticket (so don't lose it)
    • All tickets are non-transferrable and cannot be re-sold
    • No entry to the site before 10am Friday September 8
    • No entry to the site after midnight (each night)
    • Guests may be searched on entry to the event. If you are in possession of illegal substances you may be arrested
    • You will not be allowed to bring in glass bottles or any kind. Broken glass is dangerous for kids and for animals who will be using the park and fields after the event. Leave all glass in the car, decant it into plastic bottles or bin it. There are no exceptions
    • The Robin Hill site is a beautiful natural site and we want to keep it that way so please help us by keeping it clean & recycling what you can. Keep Bestival Tidy!
    • Weekend Ticket holders may bring in a limited amount of alcohol for consumption in the camping field. If you bring too much it may be confiscated
    • Alcohol cannot be brought into the main site from the camp site. There are fully licensed bars available for you
    • Day Ticket holders are not allowed in the camp site
    • No tents allowed in the Boutique Camping Field
    • Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult
    • We have a no naked flame policy at the festival and in the camp site. Fires, flares, fireworks etc will extinguished by the Isle of Wight fire service. HOWEVER, there will be designated areas in the campsite where you'll be able to go to use small BBQs and stoves to cook food
    • The promoter reserves the right to change the line up without notification
  • No dress code

  • If you do not live on the Island and you haven't bought a travel and ticket package from one of the ferry operators, you will need to book your ferry crossings to and from the Island. Please do this as soon as possible through the websites and phone number provided in your confirmation email
  • Wightlink foot passenger 'FastCat' runs from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head in around 15 minutes. Wightlink car and passenger ferries run from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and Lymington to Yarmouth in approx 35 minutes
  • Red Funnel passenger/vehicle ferries go from Southampton to East Cowes. The crossing takes approx 50 mins and sailings connect with shuttle buses to the festival. Foot passengers can also travel on the 'Red Jet' service from Southampton to West Cowes which takes approx. 20 mins.
  • Hovertravel takes 10 minutes to reach the Isle of Wight. Its foot-passenger hovercraft departs Southsea seafront in Portsmouth and travels to Ryde town on the Island.
  • By train: South West Trains operate services to Portsmouth Harbour, where you will be metres away from the Wightlink 'FastCat' service, and to Southampton Central where a courtesy bus will take you the short journey to Red Funnel's 'Red Jet' and passenger/vehicle service.   • By coach: National Express is your best bet. Further info provided in your confirmation email
  • By car: To plan your route by car head please go through the website provided in your confirmation email. Its especially important to pre-book your Ferry travel if you are travelling by car!
