What you said
Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room was huge, but grey/white decor made it feel cold and unwelcoming. Room was allocated on side of building which currently overlooks building work. No tea/coffee facilities in room, but kitchen with full facilities allocated on each floor (unusual for a hotel). Breakfast was OK but expensive (£9 for Continental & £12 for full English - luckily we had this included in price when booked). Location was excellent, about 5 mins walk from Picadilly train station and about 5 mins to town centre.

hotel was in a good location , room was a bit small but was ok for the one night.just after arriving we went to the bar to wait for friends , i was gobsmacked to be told i would have to wait at least 20 minutes for a drink because they didn't have enough staff on.sorry but that's not my problem.very dissapointed to find out next morning i would have to pay £12 for a cooked breakfast.rip off.walked down the road a bit to the ok cafe and got a great cooked breakfast for £3.50

Its nice, and not the first time I've stayed there. The hotel information in the rooms could use updating and the staff on reception weren't very helpful when I was trying to either use the internet via my room, or find an alternative.Apart from that... all good.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in - funky, friendly and so close to the station. The fellow on the desk was only too pleased to give me shopping tips and the bed was ENORMOUS. I'll be back.

The hotel had closed its bar to allow more people to eat its Valentine's Special dinner. That meant we could not eat there and the drinks service in the small lounge area was non-existent. Altogether, despite its being a nice place, a very unsatisfactory stay.

Please be aware that no matter what floor you are on, you can hear the music from the club on the ground floor, which is open until 2am. Not conducive to a good night's sleep! Having said that, the room we had was massive and the bathroom really, really nice. Diner wasn't well-stock - that's what happens with these "help yourself" ideas! Have since opted for Malmaison - nice and quiet!
