Having seen some reviews of this hotel we were a bit reluctant to continue with our booking. However we were totally surprised. The hotel was excellant, helpful friendly staff, the room was great and the whole experience was terrific. The young girl called Primrose at breakfast, was one of the best waiting staff we have come across in a long time.

The hotel is modern and clean, although the bar area was not very inspiring and there were not smoking areas available [other than outside, which is fine on a warm evening]. Overall it was good value for money and the room was exellent.

Very small communal area, some noise from the main road, bed a bit solid and generally hotel is a bit worn around the edges

Good hotel and very friendly staff - we had a basic room with all the usuals but a bonus was a large window looking out on Salford Quays - excellent position for the attractions of Salford Quays and Old Trafford.

This was a lovely hotel with an excellent location in Salford Quays with good quay views. My only complaint was the comment that it was 15 minute walk from Manchester city centre on the website but when we got to the hotel, the staff told us it was impossible to walk to the city. We tried to walk but had to cross dual carriageways and took at least 30 minutes

This hotel should not have been advertised as a 4* hotel, room was small and there was food under the bed. they advise 24 hour food service which was not the case at all. we came home at 1.00 and were unable to have anything more than crisps.

Hotel is rather tired in it's room decor and public places. Excellent location and value for money at lastminute prices.

The hotel was of a very good standard, with easy access to city centre via the tram link. The evening meal choice within the hotel is limited as the signature restaurant has been closed for some time. There are numerous American style restaurant facilities within a very short walk of the hotel if you do not want to go into the city centre.

Staff very friendly and helpful, room great apart from noisy generator or heating boiler in cleaning cupboard next door. View over the river was terrific. Would use thid hotel again.

We would never have paid the tariff for our room that was advertised in the hotel reception but the lastminute.com price was a bargain. We paid roughly the same for two nights than we would have done for one night if we'd turned up without a booking.Smaller than a Premier Lodge room and only marginally better decorated but at over twice the price this hotel is a bit of a rip off, have to admit the bar and restaurant area were nice but as we never used them we can't comment further.

The visit to this hotel was spoilt by the abysmal service in the restaurant in the evening. The meat was srved abut the vegaetables came 12 minutes later- by which time we had already started. Also the whit wine that we oredered was not chilled. Fellow diners on adjacent table waited 40 minutes for their meal to arrive and created a justifiable fuss. The restaurant should be avoided but the hotel and location was superb !!yetahve

Particularly useful if you are driving, as it sits on the edge of the City centre so you miss out the hassle of driving through traffic and parking. It's then a short cab ride (10 minutes max) into Manchester proper. If you want to go to Old Trafford, you can walk there. Prices on LMDC vary widely though but then, if you're a regular user, you'll know that's part of the game.
