A very friendly hotel, The front desk staff were very helpful and the restaurant manager, Marco, and his team were exceptional. The wine selection was good The manu was varied, although I did find the food a little over seasoned for my tastes. But you must try the nibbles in the bar in the evening. The Olives and Almonds are out of this world!!I enjoyed my stay and I particularly liked their approach to "being a little different" from the generally bland offerings from many of their counterparts, it was refreshing. I would recommend a stay at this well managed, friendly and ideally located hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in Manchester for a short break or business trip.

Nice hotel, very stylish and great location. Good + clever breakfast (in basket box). Nice bar. Free internet. Drawbacks; little elements of bathroom looking worn and when I asked front desk for advice on local bars there was blank response - suggests the trendy image is skin deep?

The Malmaison is a lovely place, the hotel bar is fab, the standard rooms are ok, not really as luxurious as I expected but nice none the less. The area is a little scary after dark.

Malmaison is excellent. We have stayed there before, which is why we did not hesitate to book it again. You can rely on the high standards and the location, being very central is ideal.

This hotel was situated perfectly although the view wasn't ideal and a little on the dull side. We were almost tucked away and over looking a desolated street. Other than this the room was comfortably sized, had a fantastic water pressure for a bath. The food was outstanding in the hotel so I would recommend this hotel to the majority who would like a great stay North....
