• Nearest train station: Darsham - 9 miles
• Directions: Directions to Southwold from London: Make your way to the M25/A12 junction just south of Brentwood: Travel on A12 past Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich, pick up A12/A14 route via the Orwell Bridge. Stay on A12 and head for Woodbridge/Lowestoft. Travel on past Woodbridge, Saxmundham, Yoxford and Darsham. 5 miles after Darsham on the A12, you will arrive at Blythburgh (noted for its Church on the Marshes). 3/4 of a mile past Blythburgh, turn right off A12 to Southwold/Reydon. 4 miles further on you arrive in Southwold. Travel straight through the main street until you reach the Market Place and you will find the Swan Hotel on the left hand side. Drive under the archway to the car park. (Travel time approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from A12/M25; 93 miles).
