Side is an international resort rich in history, culture and entertainment with some of the best sandy beaches along the Turkish Riviera. It has an amphitheatre and two second century temples, Apollo and Athena where it is said that Anthony met Cleopatra for the first time. The ruins are close to the resort centre where you will find an abundance of bazaars with bargains on offer. The centre of Side is pedestrianised with little cobbled lanes, a wonderful maze leading to every inch of this peninsula. Along with several excellent beaches offering a variety of watersports, there are also several bars, shops and discos.
