This extraordinary and stunning canyon-top property is without parallel in Turkey – indeed it is difficult to think of anywhere in the Mediterranean that is quite like The Dionysos. Positioned high in the mountains overlooking the bay of Kumlubük, the property offers sweeping and dramatic views and the distinct impression that the whole mountain is your private domain. The aim of the owners, Ahmet and Rim was to create a special and unique environment, completely removed from the orthodox tourist experience – where service comes first and guests can relax in a truly stunning setting. They have most certainly achieved this, with the result that The Dionysos has been featured three times on a major television holiday programme and in several broadsheet articles including the Times, Sunday Times and Observer. The hotel is only five years old, however it is constantly refurbished with the aim of ensuring that The Dionysos continues to justify its well deserved reputation as one of Turkey’s premier boutique hotels. The transfer time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and the distance to the beach is 2kms although a shuttle bus does run there 3 times a day

The rooms are similar in design, all the spacious rooms have a queensize bed (if double), seating area and a wonderful picture window that ensures guests have a glorious sea view no matter which room is chosen. A doorway leads into the en suite shower/WC. Rooms have a mini bar which is self-stocked from the ‘Honesty Market’. Outside is a furnished private terrace with glorious sea views.

For reasons of ambience Dionysos operates an ‘adult only’ policy at certain times of the year (see below). Though the property is not suited to young children due to the steep canyon-top location, parents can relax in the knowledge that children are welcomed during the periods the hotel is open to families. During these times Dionysos is the perfect base for families.

3 May-16 May, 31 May-11 July & 30 August–17 October In order to create a different atmosphere during these periods, only guests 14 years and above may stay in the hotel. Please do take note of these dates if booking a holiday that crosses from one period to another
