Bitez lies on the Bodrum Peninsula; a mountainous outcrop jutting from south west Turkey. It was once a small fishing village but is now a tranquil resort surrounded by tangerine groves. It has a long stretch of sand and shingle beach, which gently slopes into the clear shallow sea, making this an ideal resort for families. The beachfront bars and restaurants offer a good selection of food in a lovely setting. For livelier evenings you could take a bus or taxi to nearby Bodrum. Mountain bikers, divers and windsurfers all mix together in this great resort full of Turkish hospitality.
