Zurich - Interlaken
Combine the quiet and peacefulness of the mountains with the exuberant life of Switzerland's largest city. First stop is Zurich a paradise for shoppers, clubbers and culture fans. After two days of city life transfer to the peaceful, small town of Interlaken with the beautiful backdrop of Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau mountains.
Programme
Day 1: Flight from the UK to Zurich. The included Zurich Card gives you unlimited travel for 72 hours on the extensive public transport system and also entitles you to free admission to over 40 museums and numerous other concessions. Overnight in Zurich.
Day 2: Free day. Explore the charming city which offers the widest choice of shopping, dining and nightlife in Switzerland - and that in fabulous surroundings ! Overnight in Zurich.
Day 3: If you decide to travel to Interlaken via Lucerne do take a short stop here to explore this picturesque town before travelling on the Golden Pass Panoramic route over the Bruenig Pass. Alternatively take the quicker route via Bern to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 4: Excursion to the Jungfraujoch which is the highest train station in Europe. Impressive views of snow-capped peaks and the Aletsch glacier, the longest in Europe at 22kms. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 5: Rail transfer to Zurich and flight back to the UK.
Price includes: Flights, airport taxes, 72 hour Zurich Card, 2nd class train transfers as per itinerary, half fare card, excursion to Jungfraujoch, accommodation in centrally located 3* sharing twin/double room on a breakfast basis.

The terminals are connected internally on three levels.
The airport is located at the centre of Switzerland’s road network with excellent connections to cities, including Zurich, Bern, Basel and St Gallen on the A20.
There are three covered car parks next to the terminals and a further car park a short distance away. The open-air P60 car park provides remote long-term parking and is linked to the airport by bus. Valet parking is available.
Companies located in car park 2 include Alamo/National, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt.
Rail: The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. Road: Taxi: Taxis (tel: (0)1 800 7777) can be found outside terminals 1 and 2. Bus: The bus terminal is located next to car park 2; several regular bus lines serve regional towns and villages. An excellent night bus network connects the airport to destinations all over Switzerland.
Information welcome desks are located in the Arrivals halls of both terminals and in the new check-in area 3. FASTpoint terminals, located throughout the airport, provide information on airport facilities, shopping amenities, flight and train schedules, maps and directories, as well as a range of other services.
Money and communications: There are banks, which also provide bureau de change services, a post office and nine FASTpoint terminals providing telephone, fax and photocopying facilities. Wireless Internet is available too. Eating and drinking: Restaurants, coffee shops, snack bars and take-away facilities are available. Shopping: Shops, including duty-free, are also available. There is an Airport Shopping Centre, one level above check-in area 3. Luggage: There is a lost property office which deals with Swiss enquiries. A porter service is available. Trolleys are available free of charge. There is a left-luggage desk in Terminal 1 Arrivals; lockers are available too. Other facilities: The airport has a medical and dental centre, pharmacies, prayer rooms and nurseries.
The Unique Conference Centre (tel: (0)43 816 3422; e-mail: conferencecentre@ uniqueairport.com) has 36 rooms of varying size accommodating up to 120 delegates, and facilities for business seminars, meetings and conferences. The conference centre reception desk also offers a fax machine, photocopier, telephone booths, shredder, secretarial services, interpreting and flight and hotel reservations.
Facilities include accessible toilets and telephone booths, ramps and lifts. Disabled parking spaces are available in car park 2. There are special assistance desks in the Departures halls for travellers with special needs; passengers using this service should report no later than 90 minutes before departures. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Porters can be hired to assist disabled travellers between the airport and the railway station.

Other nearby hotels include the Movenpick Hotel Zurich-Airport, Best Western Hotel Airport, Coronado Hotel, Movenpick Hotel Zurich-Regensdorf and the Walhalla Hotel. Many Zurich and nearby hotels offer a shuttle service.
