A fantastic journey to two of the most famous resorts in Switzerland: Interlaken and Zermatt. Interlaken is in the heart of the Bernese Oberland, surrounded by green alpine meadows and snow-capped mountains – an excursion to the Jungfraujoch is included! It is then on to Zermatt with the impressive Matterhorn towering in the background. Here a trip to the Gornergrat is included.

Itinerary

• Day 1: Flight from the UK to Zürich and rail transfer to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.
• Day 2: Excursion to the Jungfraujoch - the highest train station in Europe. Impressive views of snow-capped peaks and the Aletsch glacier, the longest in Europe at 22km. Overnight in Interlaken.
• Day 3: Travel by rail through the Bernese Oberland and Loetschberg to Visp and from here on to Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.
• Day 4: An excursion by cogwheel-train to the Gornergrat where you will have superb views of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and other snow-capped peaks rising above 4,000m. Overnight in Zermatt.
• Day 5: Rail transfer to Zurich or Geneva and flight back to the UK.
