Benidorm is the original tourist destination and has been popular with British holidaymakers for many decades now, on first sight the skyline with it’s high rise hotels could resemble that of New York, but it’s on the seafront that this large cosmopolitan holiday mecca really impresses. Benidorm really does have something for everyone with it’s modern day attractions and facilities, along with it’s beautiful beaches, year round sunny climates and it’s cultural old town.

Your holiday price includes: Direct flights and accommodation for 7 or 14 nights on a half board basis.

Accommodation description

All of our Half Board Hotels we feature provide a good quality of 4 * accommodation with the usual facilities you would expect from a quality hotel. The name of your accommodation will be advised 24 hours before departure. Unfortunately when booking this accommodation we are unable to accept any special requests such as: low floor, sea view, disabled facilities etc. For those guests requiring special requests we suggest you book suitable named accommodation.

Driving Directions

From Alicante, take the Autovia Alicante-Murcia and leave at the airport junction; alternatively, take the national road N-340 to the airport. From Benidorm, take the Autopista A-7.

Car Parking

Parking is available at the airport in two car parks with a total capacity of 1,500 spaces. One car park is located opposite the terminal building and the other next to it; long- and short-term parking rates are available.

Car Hire

Avis, Atesa, Auriga, Centauro, Europcar, Europa Car, Hertz, Sol-Mar and Record Rent a Car are all represented in Arrivals, next to baggage reclaim.

Public Transport

Road: Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport (journey time to Alicante: 15-20 minutes). The taxi rank is situated in front of the Arrivals hall. Bus: Scheduled buses run every hour to/from Alicante central bus station. Other services run to Benidorm and Murcia. All buses depart from opposite the Arrivals hall.

Information and Help Desks

An Aena information desk (tel: (0)96 691 9100) is located at the check-in area; another one, in the Departures area, operates when the airport is busy. The Valencia Tourism Agency has an information desk on the lower floor (tel: (0)96 691 9367).

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: Facilities include bureaux de change, ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: There are bars and restaurants, a fast-food outlet, an ice cream parlour and a cafeteria. Eight cafés and four restaurants are located in the Costa Blanca Plaza, the airport shopping and entertainment centre. Shopping: Shops include newsagents, tobacconists, gift and jewellery shops, a music store, cake shop, sports and shoe shops, CD and video store, and three duty-free shops. Luggage: There are lost property offices on the ground floor. There is no left-luggage facility at the airport. Other facilities: There is a 24-hour first aid service and a pharmacy.

Conference and Business Facilities

Conference and business facilities are not generally available at the airport although there is a Ifach VIP Lounge on Departures level 1, offering phone, fax, photocopying and Internet access for business class passengers. Holiday Inn Alicante-Playa de San Juan (tel: (0)96 515 6185), which is 5km (3 miles) from Alicante, can provide conference and business facilities for up to 150 people.

Disabled Facilities

There is a designated area outside the terminal building for dropping off disabled passengers. There are also designated parking spaces for disabled passengers in the airport car park opposite the terminal building. The airport has lifts, ramps and disabled toilets; wheelchairs are available on request; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.

Airport Hotels

There are no hotels at the airport. The Holiday Inn Alicante-Playa de San Juan (tel: (0)96 515 6185) is 5km (3 miles) from Alicante. Sidi San Juan Hotel (tel: (0)96 516 1300) is a five-star hotel 15km (9 miles) from the airport. Other nearby hotels include the Hotel Tryp Gran Sol, Hesperia Eurhotel Hotel and the Residencia Maya Hotel.
