Altea is located in the Spanish region of Alicante, just 11 kilometres north of Benidorm but these two resorts are worlds apart. Altea is a picturesque town with steep alleyways lined with white washed houses and splendid views of Calpe. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from as well as the huge Tuesday market on the seafront, where you can buy local crafts and pick up some great bargains.
