Calella is located in the Spanish region of Catalonia along the Costa Maresme - the less touristy part of the Costa Bravo. It is only half an hour by train from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. The old part of the town is full of narrow cobbled streets lined with traditional Spanish buildings. There is a smattering of tapas bars and restaurants serving local Catalan specialities, where you can get a taste for the real Spain.
Things to see and do in Calella
- Take a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona
- Watch the famous Sardana being danced on the beachfront
- Visit Port Aventura, the Universal Studios theme park
