Punto is one of Barcelona's longest-standing bars, attracting a gay and lesbian crowd of all ages.
Once described as "elegant", this favourite of Barcelona's gay nightlife is more akin to the VIP lounge at an Eastern European airport with its tiled floor and plastic chairs and tables.
But don't let that put you off. Punto bar is as busy as an airport departure lounge, the crowd are quite young and cruisy (mostly male) and the bar staff are friendly and always willing to point you in the right direction for your next stop on the Barcelona gay trail. Most women seem to be accompanied by male friends, but that's not to say lesbians aren't welcome - they most certainly are.
