FOR a taste of the real Andorra, La Massana is hard to beat. The town offers direct access by cable car to the Vallnord ski area with 63km of runs in the Pal-Arinsal sector, all at between 1,500 and 2,650 meters so there is plenty on snow from December right through until April. Yet La Massana itself, a quaint town of 7,000 plus inhabitants, is bustling all year round so avoids that feeling of being purpose-built for skiing and skiing only. Mingle with the locals and stroll the streets to enjoy duty-free bargains as you pass by.

Accommodation description

LOCATION is the key to the appeal of the Hotel Font. It is right next to La Massana’s main telecabin and in the centre of town opposite the tourist information office. Its 36 rooms offer comfort and the essentials: bathroom, phone, satellite TV. Its informal restaurant offers only snacks during the day but full meals at night.
