Location: Maspalomas, Gran Canaria

Popular for more than 600 acres of sand dunes, Maspalomas is a mainly laid-back resort that is within easy reach of Playa Del Ingles. Maspalomas has a good selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and allows easy access to livelier Playa Del Ingles and is particularly popular with families. It is located 30 km from the airport and transfer time is approximately 45 minutes.

Your holiday price includes: Direct flights and accommodation for 7 nights on an all inclusive board basis.

Accommodation description

The Turbo Club Apartments are located in the resort of Maspalomas, approximately 3.5km from the long dune beach. The distance to Faro II Shopping Centre is approximately 1000m. A daily bus service runs several times a day from the hotel to the beach.

All inclusive

Breakfast (08.00-10.00), lunch (12.30-14.30) and dinner (18.00-20.30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant.
During lunch & dinner local beer, wine, soft drinks, mineral water and juices are offered.
Snacks such as pasta, salads, meats, etc are available at the restaurant between 15.30-16.30 (rotating menu).
Tea & coffee time with cakes is from 15.30-16.30.
Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like rum, whisky, sangria, beer, vodka, cognac, mineral water, soft drinks, wine and juices are served from 10.00-23.30.
Sport facilities at the hotel include jacuzzi, table tennis, tennis and various games & competitions available at the hotel.
There is also a free shuttle bus four times a day to Maspalomas Beach.
The daytime animation is performed in three languages. Limited Entertainment in the evenings.

Driving Directions

Access to the airport from Las Palmas and destinations on the east coast is via the island’s main north-south motorway GC-1. The airport is well signposted from the motorway and adjoining secondary roads.

Car Parking

Short- and long-term parking is available in front of the terminal building in some 1,917 parking spaces.

Car Hire

Companies available at the airport are Auto Reisen, Avis, Cicar, Europcar/Betacar, Hertz and Record. Desks can be found on the ground floor, in the walkway connecting International and EU Arrivals.

Public Transport

Road: Taxi: Taxis are available from stands outside the Arrivals areas of all three zones. Bus: There are frequent bus services between the airport and the capital, as well as other destinations on the island. Bus no.60 runs to Las Palmas for Parque de San Catalina and Parque de San Telmo. Bus no.66 runs to Faro de Maspalomas. Bus services depart from outside the Arrivals halls of zones A and C. For more information, contact GLOBAL (tel: (0)902 381 110).

Information and Help Desks

Information desks are located on level 1 of the airport in all three zones and there is a tourist information helpline (tel: (0)928 579 130). The Gran Canaria Tourist Board has a tourist information point in the EU Arrivals hall (Zone A), with tourist information and maps available (tel: (0)928 574 117).

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: There is a bank on the ground floor of Zone A and ATMs on the first floor. There are bureaux de change in the EU Arrivals hall and in the check-in halls on the ground floor. There is a post office in the International Arrivals hall. An Internet café is situated after security on the first floor of EU Departures (Zone A). Eating and drinking: There are coffee shops, bars and fast-food stands on both the Arrivals and Departures floors; a 24-hour deli is located in Zone A (before security). Shopping: Shops at the airport include a duty-free shop, clothes shop, sportswear shop, toy and sweet shop, several gift shops, a leather goods shop, a florists, a jewellers, a clothing accessories shop, an electrical goods and music shop, and a mini supermarket. Luggage: Lost property offices are located in all zones (tel: (0)928 579 130). Other facilities: There is a 24-hour medical service, a pharmacy, baby rooms, a children’s play room, a chapel and several travel agencies and tour operators.

Conference and Business Facilities

A conference room is located in the corridor connecting the International and the EU check-in halls. The Sala Galdós VIP lounge is situated on the terrace of the second floor, above the EU Departures lounge; there is also a press lounge on the first floor between Zones B and C.

Disabled Facilities

There are lifts and ramps in the terminal for disabled access. Disabled parking spaces are provided on each level of the car park. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.

Airport Hotels

There are no hotels at the airport although the four star hotel Vecindario Aeropuerto Gran Hotel (tel: 902 172 182) is situated five minutes south of the airport. Other nearby hotels include the Reina Isabel, Tryp Iberia, Quality Hotel Fataga, Hotel Concorde, AC Gran Canaria, Santa Catalina Hotel and the NH Imperial Playa. Hotel reservation desks can be found in the Arrivals hall.
