  • Gran Casino Las Palmas
    Opened in 1987, Gran Casino Las Palmas has gambling rooms, a bar, a restaurant and a health spa, as well as hosting exhibitions and conferences. So whether you want to drink and dine in luxury, try to double your winnings or just chill in a hot tub, this is the island's "high society" spot.
  • Lobos Island
    Located off the north end of Fuerteventura, Lobos Island is named after the colonies of monk seals, or sea wolves, that lived on the island until the 19th century. Separated from the main island by a 2km strait called El Rio, few people live on the island but it's popular with tourists and boasts a beautiful beach with crystalline waters and a couple of restaurants - good for a chilled day out.
  • Casa-Museo Unamuno
    The Casa-Museo Unamuno (Unamuno House-Museum) is located in the old Hotel Fuerteventura, and is where D Miguel Unamuno lived whilst on the island. As well as a replica of the kind of space he occupied and his belongings, there are photographs and texts written by him that demonstrate the intense relationship that the Basque writer established with the island.
  • Palmitos Park
    Located in the surroundings of Barranco de Palmitos on the island of Gran Canaria, Palmitos Park has an aquarium and botanical garden complete with an orchid house - an oasis for birds, fish and butterflies.
  • Windmill Centre
    At the Centro de Interpretación Los Molinos (Windmill Centre) in Tiscamanita you can see demonstrations of both hand and windmilling techniques for producing flour.
