Welcome to Ocean Village. A brand new take on holidays at sea, Ocean Village is for people who like to go flat out at sports and activities one minute and flat out by the pool the next. Easy Going and informal in style, dressing down, not up, is what Ocean Village is about.

Sailing from Palma, Majorca, you will visit a new destination almost every day. Or you can spend a few days in a hotel in Majorca followed by 1 week's cruising.

On board you will find everything from an ocean view gym, pools and jacuzzis to a fleet of mountain bikes, perfect for trips ashore. What you won't find is the grand traditions of cruising. This is a sailing without the ceremony, where you're free to recharge your batteries as you see fit.

Your holiday price includes: Flights, transfers, 7 nights accommodation on board the Ocean Village 2 including all meals, entertainment and all port taxes.

Accommodation

Nothing's compulsory aboard Ocean Village. If you don't fancy spending all day in town; no problem. There's more than enough to keep you occupied on and around the ship. Want a quiet day? Then work on your tan, shop, email, swim or indulge in some serious pampering. Prefer something a bit more strenuous? Work out in the gym, go jogging or head off on one of the ship's mountain bike trips. With Ocean Village you pick and choose to get the balance of your holiday just right.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from the U.K to Palma Majorca where you will be met and transferred to the Ocean Village 2 ready for embarkation and set sail at 19.00

Day 2: Enjoy a day cruising

Day 3: Arrive in La Goulette, Tunisia for Tunis at 08.00, departing at 13.00

Day 4: Arrive in Civitavecchia, Italy for Rome at 08.00 departing at 18.00

Day 5: Arrive in Genoa, Italy at 08.00 departing at 18.00

Day 6: Arrive in Villefranche or Cannes, France for Monte Carlo at 08.00 departing at 18.00

Day 7: Arrive in Barcelona, Spain at 09.00 departing at 18.00

Day 8: Arrive back in Palma, Majorca at 07.00, ready for disembarkation and a return flight back to the UK.

Driving Directions

To get to the airport from Palma, take the autovia (main road) in the direction of Santanyí (Santañí) and turn off before the airport.

Car Parking

There is a covered car park close to the terminal for long- and short-term parking. The car park has a capacity for 5,700 vehicles on six floors. The ground floor is used by car hire companies; and long-term parking is on the sixth floor. All floors are fitted with disabled parking spaces, situated next to lifts and escalators. The fourth floor has passenger travelators that connect the car park to the terminal building Departures area.

Car Hire

Companies include Avis, Betacar-Europcar, Centauro, Europa, Hasso, Hertz, Record and Tui Cars-Ultramar Express. Desks and offices are located at Arrivals in the terminal building and on the ground floor of the airport car park.

Public Transport

Road: Taxi: Taxis leave from outside Door D on the Arrivals floor. Taxi companies serving the city centre (journey time: 15 minutes) include Fono Taxi, Radio Taxi and Taxi Palma. Bus: Bus no.1 runs to Paseo Mallorca in central Palma de Mallorca (journey time: 30 minutes) and Porto Pí. There is a bus stop in front of the multi-storey car park, outside Door D of the Arrivals floor, and another one outside the check-in floor, opposite the airport access road.

Information and Help Desks

Information desks (tel: 971 789 099) can be found in Arrivals, Departures and check-in. Customer service personnel, known as the ‘blue jackets’, are on hand to assist passengers on the second floor. There is a tourist information desk on the ground floor of the terminal (tel: 971 789 556).

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: The terminal has a full service bank on the Departures fourth floor and several ATMs. There are also post boxes, a post office and telephones. Eating and drinking: There are many bars and restaurants at the airport, including a 24-hour bar and a 24-hour cafeteria. Shopping: Shops include duty-free, a tobacconists, toy shop, leather goods shop, shoe shops, a jewellers, opticians, florists, sweet shops, gift shops and a clothing accessories shop. Luggage: There is no left-luggage facility at the airport. A lost property service is situated on the ground floor (tel: (0)971 789 456). Other facilities: There are 24-hour first aid services and a pharmacy, as well as numerous travel agents and a children’s room.

Conference and Business Facilities

There are three VIP lounges (tel: 971 789 331) at the airport, the Randa and l’Ofre lounges, situated in the Departures area, and the Formentor lounge, situated on the D concourse. These provide free newspapers, a television, telephone and self-service bar. The airport can also provide conference/meeting rooms, telephone, fax machines, computers and data lines, and catering; there are also board rooms for hire in the Randa VIP lounge.

Disabled Facilities

There are lifts and ramps in the terminal where necessary. Wheelchair-accessible toilets and disabled parking spaces are also available.

Airport Hotels

There are no hotels in the airport grounds, but hotel reservations can be made at the airport (tel: 971 789 322). Hotels in Palma include the Melia Victoria (tel: 971 732 542), Palas Atenea Sol (tel: 971 281 400) and Saratoga (tel: 971 727 240); hotels in Playa de Palma include the Garonda (tel: 971 262 200) and Playa Park (tel: 971 261 950). The Arabella Sheraton Golf Hotel (tel: 971 787 100) is located on the Son Vida golf course, 15km (10 miles) from the airport.
