Majorca is perhaps the most popular of the Balearic Islands sitting in the Mediterranean just off the Spanish coast. Once a small fishing port, Alcudia has expanded down the coast but managed to retain much of its original charm. The resort offers 11km of golden sandy beaches and the longest beach on the island which is gently shelving with fine white sand. There is a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants on the length of the bay and a fishing port that has some excellent fish restaurants. The centre also has some lively bars and discos. Alcudia is a mainstream Spanish beach resort ideal for families, couples and singles alike.
