Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by the Millennium Link walkway.
The airport is situated on the A45 Coventry road, close to junction 6 of the M42. There are direct connections from the M1, M5, M6 and M40. The new M6 toll road provides a fast alternative to the M6. The airport is signposted from the motorways.

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and National are represented in the Millennium Link.
Rail: The free Skyrail service links the airport directly to Birmingham International Train Station. A network of regional and intercity rail services depart from there, including a Virgin service to London Euston. Coach: National Express (tel: (0)8705 808 080; website: www.nationalexpress.com) operates long-distance coach services, linking the airport to Birmingham and a number of other cities, and provides inter-airport Flightlink (tel: (0)8705 757 747) coaches linking the airport with London Luton, London Gatwick and London Stansted airports.
The airport information desk (tel: (0)870 733 5511) is situated in the Millennium Link; there is also an information point located in the Departures Lounge. British Airways operates a customer service desks (tel: (0)121 767 7502/3) in Terminal 2. The Visitor Centre in Terminal 1 provides a reservation and information service.
Money and communications: Bureaux de change and ATMs are available in both terminals. Postal facilities are available in Terminal 1. Eating and drinking: There is an extensive range of cafés, restaurants, bars and fast-food outlets both airside and landside. Shopping: There are several retail shops at the airport. Luggage: A left-luggage facility (tel: (0)121 767 7987) is available on the first floor in Terminal 1. Other facilities: There are 24-hour medical centres in both terminals and a prayer room.
Business booths are available in the Terminal 1 Departures lounge; free work stations are provided, with credit-card operated telephone, e-mail, modem and fax facilities. Air Space (tel: (0)121 767 8063) provides meeting rooms accommodating between two and 40 people. Overhead projectors and flipcharts are available.
Adapted toilets and lifts are provided. Wheelchairs are available on request. Help with baggage and check-in is available by contacting the airport information desk (tel: (0) 870 733 5511) prior to arrival. Wheelchair and other assistance after check-in must be arranged through the individual airlines. A Minicom system (tel: (0)121 767 8084) is installed at the Terminal 1 airport information desk, and there is an induction loop system.
The Crowne Plaza NEC (tel: (0)121 781 4000), Hilton Birmingham Metropole (tel: (0)121 780 4242), Holiday Inn Express NEC (tel: (0)121 782 3222) and Novotel Birmingham International Airport (tel: (0)121 782 4111) are all located near the airport. To reach the airport from the north, take the A1 Oporto/Lisbon motorway and then the 2ª Circular. From the south, cross the Vasco da Gama bridge, and take the 2ª Circular. From Cascais/Estoril, take the A5 motorway, then CRIL (IC 17) and then the 2ª Circular. From Parque das Nações, take Marechal Gomes da Costa avenue to the Rotunda do Relógio, then the Alameda das Comunidades Avenue Dr Alfredo Bensaúde to the 2ª Cicular. The airport is clearly signposted.
There are short- and long-term parking options. P1 and P2 are short-term car parks with direct access to the terminal. P1 is located near Departures and P2 is next to Arrivals. P3 is a long-term outdoor car park. The short- and long-term car parks are located to the right of the terminal at the entrance to the airport. A free airport bus shuttle service links the car parks and the terminal.
Companies include A A Castanheira/Budget, Auro Rent, Auto Jardim, Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National/Alamo and Sixt, with desks located in the Arrivals area.
Road: Taxi: Metered taxis are available 24 hours a day and are situated outside the Arrivals and Departures areas. Bus: The CARRIS AeroBus no.91 runs to the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes) and to the Cais do Sodré railway station. Local buses nos.5, 22, 44, 45 and 83 reach several destinations in Lisbon. A Scotturb airport shuttle bus also operates to Estoril and Cascais; tickets are available from the driver.
There are information counters in the Arrivals and Departures halls and a tourist information counter in the Arrivals hall.
Money and communications: Facilities include a bank and a post office in the Departures area and bureaux de change in the Departures and Arrivals areas. ATMs situated throughout the airport. Eating and drinking: There is a wide range of restaurants, snack bars, cafés and fast-food outlets in the Departures area. Shopping: There are many shops, including duty-free. Luggage: A left-luggage facility is open daily on level 2 of car park P2. The lost property office is located in the police office, in the Departures shopping area (tel: (0)21 849 6132). Other facilities: An insurance desk is located at the check-in area. There are baby care areas, a first aid room in the Arrivals area, and showers at the Departures boarding lounge.
The Icaro Lounge, Apolo Lounge and Ulisses Lounge, on level 2 of the Arrivals area, can provide basic facilities including Internet, payphone and fax. Conference and press facilities are also available; contact Lisbon Airport Public Relations Service (tel: (0)21 841 3500) for further information. Various airlines also provide lounges.
There are ramps, lifts, specially adapted telephones and toilets. Wheelchairs can be provided by airlines and airline staff can also help wheelchair passengers through customs and immigration; passengers should request any special assistance upon booking a ticket. Disabled car parking spaces are available. There are two lifts to take passengers to different levels.
There are no hotels at the airport. Nearby hotels include the Radisson SAS Hotel Lisboa (tel: (0)21 004 5000), the Holiday Inn Lisbon (tel: (0)2 004 4000), Marriott Lisbon (tel: (0)2 723 5400) and the Holiday Inn Continental (tel: (0)2 004 6000).
