Description

Venue: Royal Lazienki Park    When: Daily

Lazienki Park, located close to the city centre, is one of the most beautiful parts of Warsaw. Its landscaped grounds, pavilions and orangeries are ideal for a summer stroll.

The highlight of the park is the Palace on the Water. Built in the 18th century, the neo-classical palace was the summer residence of King Stanislaw August Poniatowski, the last of the Polish monarchs. It escaped total destruction during the Second World War and has now been fully restored to its former splendour.

At the main entrance there is a monument to Chopin, and there are open-air concerts of the composer's music every summer at the nearby Rose Garden.
