Transfer between Terminals

The Skylink moving walkway system links Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via the airport railway station.

Driving Directions

The airport lies off junction 5 of the M56 motorway, which connects with the M60 (Manchester’s ring road) at junction 4. Directions for all terminals are clearly signposted.

Car Parking

There are some 14,000 parking spaces available at the airport. Short- and long-term parking facilities (tel: (0)161 489 3723) are available. The short-stay multi-storey parking lots are located close to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Long-term parking is recommended for any stay over 6 hours. Pre-booking, with discounts offered, is available online. A regular courtesy shuttle bus operates from the long-term car parks to all terminals. Car Hire

Companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt. All have desks in each of the terminals.

Public Transport

Rail: Manchester Airport’s new rail, coach and bus interchange, known as The Station, is connected to all three terminals via the Skylink moving walkway system. Trains operate to Manchester Airport from many stations in northern England and the Midlands. There is a frequent service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the city centre, which has connections to most major destinations. Road: Taxi: Taxis are available outside or near the Arrivals hall of each terminal. Tourist information centres are situated in the Arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2 (tel: (0)161 436 3344). There are also information desks situated in all terminals. Several members of staff are trained in British Sign Language.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs, bureaux de change, banking facilities, Internet booths and a post office are available. Eating and drinking: All terminals have restaurants, cafés and bars with 24-hour facilities. Shopping: Duty-free shops and a variety of gift shops and concessions are available. Other facilities: These include a medical centre, two prayer rooms, baby changing facilities and a 24-hour children’s play area.

Conference and Business Facilities

The Airport Business Centre (tel: (0)161 490 5580) offers a wide range of professional business support services, including private workstations with telephone, fax, photocopying and word processing facilities, meeting room hire, Internet access and videoconferencing. The airport also has conference and banqueting facilities in the Atlantic Suite (tel: (0)161 489 6181/2) and Radisson SAS Hotel (tel: (0)161 490 5000), catering for up to 400 people and including a comprehensive range of audiovisual, telephone and fax equipment. The Escape Lounge (tel: (0)161 489 3388) offers passengers a chance to relax and use a variety of business facilities, including fax machines, telephones, Internet access and photocopying; there is a charge for entry to this lounge.

Disabled Facilities

There are accessible toilets, ramps and lifts, hearing loops and wheelchair-accessible telephones throughout the terminals. All telephones are fitted with induction loops. Driving Directions

The airport can be accessed from Zwirki í Wigury Avenue, which leads out of central Warsaw.

Car Parking

Three airport car parks are available: the multi-storey short-term car park has space for 1,500 cars and is located next to the terminal building; the short-term open-air car park has space for 300 cars, whilst the long-term patrolled car park has space for 820 cars. Both of these are located east of the multi-storey short-term car park.

Car Hire

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and National are located in the Arrivals hall.

Public Transport

Road: Taxi: The taxi stand is located in front of the Arrivals hall. Bus: The Intercity Polski Express bus company provides direct regular bus connections to 30 towns in Poland; tickets can be purchased from the driver. Bus stops are located immediately in front of the Arrivals hall between the terminal building and the multi-storey car park. Buses nos.175 and 188 serve Warsaw, including the train station, the Old Town and the city centre (journey time: 30 minutes).

The combined Airport, LOT Polish Airlines and Customs Information Point is located in the centre of the Departures hall. Tourist information is available in the Arrivals hall daily. There are three executive lounges in the transit area on the Departures level (tel: (0)22 650 2768); passengers wishing to use the lounges should inform their travel agents or airline when booking their flight.

Disabled Facilities

The International Terminal has lifts and adapted toilets. Wheelchairs are available on request from a handling agent. Trained first aiders are also on hand to assist passengers unable to access the upper mezzanine level.

Airport Hotels

The Falcon Transit Hotel (tel: (0)22 650 4891), located on the Departures level in the transit area, is open 24 hours a day and has eight rooms. A new hotel, the five-star Courtyard by Marriott (tel: (0)22 650 0100), is situated close to the passenger terminal. Travellers can make hotel reservations at travel and tourist agencies located in the Arrivals and Departures halls and through the tourist information and hotel reservation service (tel: (0)22 650 9431). An airport shuttle bus service operates to/from some hotels on request. The Gromada Hotel (tel: (0)22 609 9600) is located less than 1km (0.6 miles) from the airport and the Novotel Hotel (tel: (0)22 846 4051) is located 2km (1.2 miles) north of the airport. Both of these are on the Zwirki í Wigury Avenue which leads to central Warsaw.
