Description

Venue: Norwegian Museum of Cultural History    When: Daily

The open-air Norwegian Museum of Cultural History features 155 authentic buildings from all over the country. It also houses the Bygdø Royal Farm and its farmyard, so cultivated fields and grazing lands are part of the grounds.

Permanent exhibits include displays of Norwegian Folk Art, Norwegian Folk Dress, Sami Culture, Norway's First Hall of Parliament, Antique Toys, The Pharmacy in The Old Town and the "Watering hole" from the 1820s. There is usually also a temporary exhibit and cultural events take place throughout the year - summer is a particularly busy time.
