The airport is located just off the A8 from the centre of Edinburgh. The well-signed airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
The short-term car park is directly in front of the terminal building. Construction of a new multi-storey car par, with 2,000 new spaces is underway; Car Park 3, on Almond Road, with 400 short-stay spaces provides additional short-stay car parking for the duration of construction. The long-term car park is close by, served by a free courtesy coach to the terminal. Discounts are available for pre-booked long-term parking (tel: (0)870 000 1000), which can also be done online via the airport’s website. Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National, all have desks located in the Domestic Arrivals hall. Pre-booked cars from some off-airport companies can be contacted on the courtesy telephone located between Domestic Arrivals and check in.

Bus: Frequent bus services run from the bus station outside Domestic Arrivals to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge, also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket rail station For more information on train services contact National Rail (tel: (0)845 748 4950; website: www.nationalrail.co.uk). The express service (bus no.100) operates daily 24 hours. Bus no.35 operates from Ocean Terminal via the city centre to Edinburgh Airport. The combined airport information and Edinburgh & Lothian Tourist Board desk is located next to International Arrivals (tel: 0870 040 0007 or (0131) 473 3800).
Money and communications: The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: Coffee shops are available throughout the airport and there are two bars and a food village. Shopping: There are tax- and duty-free outlets. For more information on shopping at the airport, contact the Shopping Information Line (tel: (0)870 000 1000). Luggage: A left-luggage facility and a lost property desk (tel: (0)131 344 3486) are available. Other facilities: These include baby care facilities and a prayer/quiet room.
Bmi, British Airways, Scotways and Servisair have executive lounges equipped with telephone, fax and Internet facilities. The Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel (tel: (0)131 519 4400) has conference facilities for up to 220 delegates.
Facilities for disabled people include accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating. There is a TDD telephone in the International Arrivals area and the airport telephone switchboard is equipped with a Minicom system (tel: (0)131 344 3100). Induction loops are fitted at various points throughout the terminal. Passengers should advise their airline of their special needs in advance. Reserved parking and wheelchair push and provision and help with baggage are available. Assistance can also be pre-booked (tel: (0)131 344 3486).
The Hilton Edinburgh Airport (tel: (0)131 519 4400) is a short walk from the airport and is also connected by a free shuttle service. The Quality Hotel Airport (tel: (0)131 333 4331), Norton House Hotel (tel: (0)131 333 1275) and the Agenda Hotel (tel: (0)131 316 4466) are all very close by. Hotel reservations can be made through the British Hotel Reservation Centre (tel: (0)131 333 5119; website: www.bhrconline.com), located in the Domestic Arrivals area.

The airport has a dedicated four-lane access road, Highway 174, which connects to Highway E6 at Jessheim; to find the junction on Highway E6, follow signs marked ‘Gardermoen’.
There is a multi-storey car park with 4,000 spaces and direct access to the terminal and an outdoor car park (P0) immediately adjacent. There is also an outdoor ground level car park, divided into five areas (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5), with free shuttle buses running regularly to/from the terminal building.
Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Statoil all have desks in the Arrivals area, near the railway station.
Rail: There is an Airport Express Train (Flytoget) service, which runs between the airport and Oslo (journey time: 20 minutes), stopping at Oslo Central and various subway stations. All inter-city and express trains on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim route also stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen station. Road: Taxi: Taxis are readily available from the terminal; wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Airport Taxis (tel: 23 232 323). There is a taxi information desk in the Arrivals hall and the taxi rank is located outside Arrivals. Bus: The SAS Airport Bus runs between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Oslo Central Station toward the Radisson Scandinavia Hotel (journey time: 40 minutes). There is also a night service to Oslo Bus Terminal. For regional bus routes, there is a bus station just south of the railway station, which is within walking distance. Coach: The airport coach NOR-WAY Bussekspress runs to/from Oslo, Bærum, Fredrikstad and Ski and Gjøvik.

Money and communications: Nordea bank has ATMs and bureaux de change in both the Arrivals and Departures halls (before and after security). Wireless Internet is available in all public areas of the terminal. Fax/photocopying is available at the information desk in the Arrivals hall. Eating and drinking: Various restaurants, cafés, snack bars, fast-food outlets and bars are located throughout the airport. Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in the International Departures hall; various other shops are located throughout the airport. Luggage: There is a left-luggage and lost property office, located opposite the railway station. A porter service is available (tel: 64 810 444). Other facilities: There is a travel agency in the Departures hall (before security).
Photocopying and fax services are available from the information desk in Arrivals; there are also wireless Internet facilities in all public areas of the terminal. The nearby Radisson SAS Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: 63 933 000) has a conference centre with telephones, computer facilities, data lines, Internet facilities, meeting rooms, video conferencing, secretarial services and catering; software for wireless Internet access can be purchased here.
The terminal is adapted for passengers with disabilities, who are requested to contact Passenger Services (tel: 81 550 250) at least 24 hours in advance. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Airport Taxis (tel: 23 232 323) or at the taxi information desk in Arrivals.
The 350-room Radisson SAS Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: 63 933 000) is within walking distance of the terminal building. Nearby hotels include the Quality Hotel Gardermoen Airport (tel: 63 926 100) and the Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport (tel: 63 949 494); both hotels are a short drive away and are served by shuttle buses, which depart at least twice an hour from the airport (a fee is payable). Hotel reservations can be made at the information desk in Arrivals.
